Our primary objective is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children attending our
workshops. This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, and contractors.
Core Principles:- The welfare of the child is paramount.
- All children, regardless of age, disability, gender, racial heritage, religious belief, or
- sexual orientation, have the right to protection from all types of harm or abuse.
- Working in partnership with children, young people, their parents, carers, and other
- agencies is essential in promoting young people’s welfare.
Reporting Procedures:- If a member of staff has a concern about a child’s welfare, they must:
- Record the concern accurately (Date, Time, Location, Nature of Concern).
- Report immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
- In cases of immediate danger, contact the local UK Police (999) or the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO).
