Physical Contact: Should be avoided unless necessary for safety or as part of a structured activity (e.g., first aid).
Communication: All communication with children must be through official channels. No private social media or messaging contact is permitted.
Photography: Photos may only be taken on company devices if specific written parental consent has been obtained.
Whistleblowing: Staff are encouraged to report any colleague behavior that falls below these standards without fear of retribution.

Our primary objective is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children attending our
workshops. This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, and contractors.

Core Principles:

The welfare of the child is paramount.
All children, regardless of age, disability, gender, racial heritage, religious belief, or
sexual orientation, have the right to protection from all types of harm or abuse.
Working in partnership with children, young people, their parents, carers, and other
agencies is essential in promoting young people’s welfare.

Reporting Procedures:

If a member of staff has a concern about a child’s welfare, they must:
Record the concern accurately (Date, Time, Location, Nature of Concern).
Report immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
In cases of immediate danger, contact the local UK Police (999) or the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO).
